Issue Details¶
KI-001: Central SIS API Posts Incorrect Student/Campus Data¶
- Severity: High
- Reported By: Implementation team
- Reported Date: Approximately 2024 (observed during SIS integration period)
- Description: The Central SIS API integration was built and ran for approximately one year. During this period, Central's APIs consistently returned incorrect data — student-to-campus assignments and other record details did not match the actual school data in Central. This caused mismatches between what was imported into NetSuite and what the school expected.
- Impact: The automated billing configurator cannot be used reliably because it depends on accurate student and campus data from the SIS. The integration has been deactivated for billing purposes. Manual campus reconciliation is required before every billing cycle.
- Workaround: Billing instructions are prepared manually via CSV. The team reconciles student counts per campus with the school before each billing cycle, applying manual corrections as needed.
- Root Cause: Central SIS data quality issues — incorrect or inconsistent data returned by Central's APIs. The root cause within Central has not been fully resolved.
- Resolution: Requires Central SIS data quality investigation and API stabilization before the automated integration can be re-activated.
