Implementation Notes¶
Pymble is the most comprehensive ARM implementation to date. Key distinguishing features include: billing orders (sales orders) instead of standard invoices, a review suitelet for school-side verification, deep integration with the My Pymble parent portal via SSO (JWT token), multiple payment methods (Bank, Credit card, Direct debit, Edstart, B Pay), term or annual billing options, an optional building levy contribution, a 2.5% annual billing discount, and credit/debit balance display on the payment suitelet.
Configurator Usage¶
Pymble does not use the automated billing configurator suitelet. Billing instructions are built manually:
- Data exported from Pymble's data warehouse into Excel
- Billing instructions built in Excel — mapping items to students/families
- Imported into the Family Billing Profile custom record in NetSuite
- Reviewed through a custom review suitelet with filters (billing status, student type, item type)
- School verifies totals, then executes to generate billing orders
The Pymble account uses a different version of the billing instruction architecture compared to other clients — Billing Profile (equivalent to BPOS Subscription Plan) and Billing Instruction (equivalent to Subscription Item), rather than the billing instruction + billing instruction applied-to pattern.
